Austrian Airlines: Christian Kremnitzer appointed Head of Austrian IT & Austrian IT Integration

Christian Kremnitzer (43) has assumed the role of Head of Austrian IT & Austrian IT Integration as of 1 March 2026. In this position, he will focus on both the operational management and further development of Austrian Airlines’ IT landscape, as well as the Group-wide harmonisation and integration in line with Lufthansa Group standards. His responsibilities include shaping the IT strategy and architecture, ensuring high cybersecurity standards, managing the application lifecycle, and implementing the global IT service strategy for Austrian. Kremnitzer succeeds Steve Beyermann in this role.

With his strategic IT expertise, strong understanding of processes and organisational structures, and passion for digital transformation, Kremnitzer brings ideal qualifications to further strengthen and future-proof Austrian Airlines’ IT landscape. Since May 2025, he has already been responsible for HR Technology and People Analytics at Austrian Airlines.

The father of two began his career in IT consulting at BearingPoint and zeb, followed by senior leadership roles at Raiffeisen Bank International AG.
