Great honour and even greater joy for Austrian Airlines: this year, the airline once again secured a top position in the prestigious SKYTRAX World Airline Awards. Following the title of ‘Best Airline Staff Service in Europe’ in 2023, this award went once again to the airline with the red-white-red tail fin in 2025. Additionally, the Austrian Airlines cabin crews were also ranked number 1 in Europe and among the top 20 in the world. The awards were presented on 17 June in Paris.

The SKYTRAX World Airline Awards
The World Airline Awards are globally recognized as the benchmark for outstanding performance in the airline industry and are often referred to as the “Oscars of the aviation industry”. The awards are based on the results of the world’s largest customer survey in the airline sector, which has been conducted annually since 1999 by opinion researcher SKYTRAX and measures customer satisfaction.
Passengers from over 100 nations took part in the current survey. More than 325 airlines worldwide were assessed. Full details of the results of this year’s SKYTRAX World Airline Awards can be found at www.worldairlineawards.com.
Austrian Airlines has already received a number of awards in previous years. For example, the red-white-red airline has already been honoured first in the ‘Best Airline Staff in Europe’ category eight times. It has also won awards for ‘Best Airline in Western Europe’, ‘Best Premium Economy Dining’ and three times in the ‘Best Business Class Dining’ category. Austrian Airlines has also been awarded in sub-categories such as ‘Best Airline Staff Europe’.
