Austrian Airlines CEO Annette Mann

CEO Annette Mann

Annette Mann was born on December 31, 1977, in Bavaria, Germany. She studied business administration in Passau, London, and Ingolstadt and obtained an Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the U.S.-based Kellogg School of Management.

Annette Mann brings a broad range of management experience, built since 2003 in various strategic, conceptual, and operational roles across multiple Lufthansa Group companies. In addition to positions in Strategy, Investment Management, and Sales, she played a leading role in the development of the A380 First Class and was responsible for the commercial and operational introduction of Premium Economy as a new travel class. During the pandemic, she was part of the core leadership team “Restart,” overseeing all customer processes. Most recently, she established the Corporate Responsibility function and, as Chief Sustainability Officer of the Lufthansa Group, led the strategic development of all sustainability activities.

Since March 1, 2022, Annette Mann has been CEO of Austrian Airlines and a member of the Group Executive Committee of Deutsche Lufthansa AG. In addition, she represents the Lufthansa Group on the Board of Directors of IATA, the highest governing body of the global airline industry association. She is also Vice President of the German Chamber of Commerce in Austria and a member of the Federal Executive Board of the Federation of Austrian Industries.

COO Stefan-Kenan Scheib

Stefan-Kenan Scheib was born on 4 November 1976. In addition to his pilot training at the Lufthansa pilot school in Bremen, he also completed an MBA at the University of Koblenz.

He began his career in aviation in 1999 as a first officer on the Airbus A320 at Lufthansa Airlines. In 2006, he moved to Germanwings as captain on the Airbus A320. He also took on management roles in the operations department at Germanwings, for example as head of flight safety, crew training and later the entire flight operations department. In 2017, he took over as head of the Bremen flight school of Lufthansa Aviation Training (LAT) and in 2018, he became head of all LAT flight schools. Since July 2021, Stefan-Kenan Scheib has been responsible for all flight operations at SWISS as Head of Flight Operations.

As Chief Operating Officer (COO), Stefan-Kenan Scheib has been part of the Executive Board of Austrian Airlines since 15 September 2025.

He is responsible for all operational departments, including Flight Operations, Cabin Operations, Ground Operations, Flight Safety, Crew Training, Operations Planning & Steering, Technical Division, and IT.
