- Starting December 1, 2025: five weekly flights to Dubai on the A320neo from EUR 314 round trip
- Lean aircraft, lean price: operated with the A320neo instead of long-haul jets
- “With our “Dubai Deal” we want to make Dubai attractive for price-conscious travelers – whether for shopping, sightseeing, or simply enjoying the sun. Winter always brings excess capacity, so starting in December we want to boldly try new ways,” says Austrian Airlines CEO Annette Mann
From December 2025 through March 2026, Austrian Airlines will test a new product: the “Dubai Deal.” The service will operate five times a week with the A320neo fleet to the Middle Eastern metropolis, starting at an unbeatable fare of EUR 314 round trip. The offer is made possible by additional winter capacity within the airline’s medium-haul schedule.
“An aircraft in the air is always better than one on the ground – and at the same time, we want to offer our guests a compelling deal. We understand this route comes with strong and very comfortable competition. But by deploying aircraft that would otherwise be idle during winter, we can afford to take a bold step, try something new, and challenge the market,” explains Austrian Airlines CEO Annette Mann.
Why an experiment?
Lean aircraft, lean price: instead of long-haul jets, the route will be operated by the A320neo. While there will be no inflight entertainment, passengers can expect new options and features from December onwards to tailor the flight experience to their individual preferences. Austrian Airlines is focusing on smart extras and small onboard highlights to make the journey enjoyable, nonetheless. Added to the attractive price point during peak travel season is the airline’s award-winning service concept, including onboard catering through the Austrian Melangerie.
Limited Test Phase
The “Dubai Deal” will run from December 2025 through March 2026. Whether it becomes a permanent part of the schedule will depend on the trial’s success.
Flight Schedule
Flight OS89 departs Vienna at 18:55 every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, arriving in Dubai at 03:40 local time. Return flight OS90 leaves Dubai at 06:05 and lands in Vienna at 09:25.
Fares
- Economy Light from EUR 314 (incl. 8kg hand luggage)
- Economy Classic from EUR 374 (incl. 23kg checked baggage)

“With our “Dubai Deal” we want to make Dubai appealing for price-conscious travelers – whether for shopping, sightseeing, or just soaking up the sun. I’m certain that frequent flyers and mileage collectors will also seize this opportunity at year-end. This experiment demonstrates that with courage and a clear focus on essentials, we can explore new ways forward,” says Mann.
Sunshine Instead of Winter Gray
At the same time, Austrian Airlines is also expanding winter capacity to Malé and Mauritius and will again operate twice-daily flights to Bangkok.
