Award for

• Website of Austrian Airlines selected as one of the top travel Websites of 2015
• Specialist magazine Computer Bild and Statista GmbH tested about 9,600 Websites together with 1,800 onliners

The Website was named one of the top travel Websites of 2015 in the category “Airline” in the first ever study carried out with a focus on travel agencies and travel service providers. The basis for the award was an extensive test of about 9,600 travel Websites by the specialist magazine Computer Bild and Statista GmbH. The best 400 Websites were selected on the basis of more than 80 features, including structure and usability, service and communication as well as trust and security. In addition, a total of 1,800 onliners evaluated the structure and layout of the Websites.

“The changes made to the Website with respect to design and navigation paid off. Thanks to our innovative direct access to the most important functions relevant to travelling, such as booking, flight search, Web check-in and inquiring about status of the flight, we were able to score points with our users”, says Dirk Schreier, Senior Director eCommerce & Distribution Technology at Austrian Airlines.
