Austrian Paralympics Team Returns from Sochi


• Austrian flight OS2764 lands punctually in Vienna
• On board: 5 Paralympics medal winners with a total of 11 medals, including two gold medals

Yesterday at noon the successful Austrian Paralympics team landed in Vienna on Austrian Airlines flight OS 2764. In addition to Maria Rauch-Kallat, former minister and President of the Austrian Paralympics Committee, the medal winners Philipp Bonadimann (1 silver), Matthias Lanzinger (2 silver), Claudia Lösch (2 silver), Roman Rabl (3 bronze) and Markus Salcher (2 gold, 1 bronze) were also on board the aircraft. After the landing the Austrian team was officially welcomed by a delegation led by Gerald Klug, Minister of Defense and Sports.

At the subsequent reception held together with sponsors, family members and fans, the success of the Paralympics team was enthusiastically celebrated. “We are proud to have supported the Austrian Paralympics team when it was flying high in Sochi,“ says Isabella Reichl, Marketing Director of Austrian Airlines. “We would like to congratulate all the participants and naturally, in particular, the medal winners.“
